Nesh is a star of the Create Team, working both within the catering business and leading growth in this significant area. Nesh was in a very unstable situation when she was introduced to Create. Since moving to England from Poland 18 months before, she had struggled to find secure employment, at times working 12 hour days for just £20. After moving to Leeds, Nesh found herself homeless and jobless with no friends and not even a passport (as it had been stolen during her time in London). Nesh came with valuable experience working within catering and began to help out at Create; after 8 months of volunteering Nesh had proved herself to be a skilled caterer and progressed onto paid employment as Kitchen Team Leader. In addition, when Create began to offer its housekeeping service Nesh also gained training and experience within this area of employment. Nesh’s current situation is so much more positive than the one she describes being in prior to Create; She is now happy with life, in employment, surrounded by friends and is planning to move into a house in next year with her partner.
